In this painting, I have incorporated a wide range of information about two individuals.

We can read the facial expressions and body language that show many feelings without beginning or end.

You can read thoughts in everything, the glance of the monkey, the form of the skull, the way the tail is held. Feelings shaped in body language which we transform into thoughts.

Even the things the girl is wearing can be transformed into thoughts, the way in which the fabric is draped, the material, the weight, how the fabric feels against the skin.

It is really a still life.

“In dit schilderij heb ik een veelheid aan informatie over twee individuen verwerkt.

We kunnen de mimiek lezen en de lichaamstaal die veel gevoelens laat zien zonder begin en einde.

Overal kun je gedachten in lezen, de oogopslag van het aapje, de vorm van de schedel, de houding van de staart. Gevoelens vorm gegeven in lichaamstaal die we omzetten in gedachten.

Zelfs wat het meisje aanheeft kunnen we omzetten in gedachten, de manier waarop de stof valt, het materiaal, het gewicht, hoe de stof op de huid voelt.

Het is eigenlijk een stilleven”.
